Folkestone Races Information

There are two courses at Folkestone - the Tuft Flat Track and the National Hunt. The National Hunt course is a right-hand undulating oval, covering 1m2f, while the Turf Flat Track is right-handed so has a low number on the inside rail. It, too, is undulating and oval, and has a relatively short run in of 3f, with a tendency to favour prominent racer types. The dress code at Folkestone Races is smart casual, requesting that race goers do not wear jeans and trainers. "Dressing up" for the races during the summer months is highly encouraged. A cash point is available at the course, and can be found opposite the turnstile entrance. When it comes to food and drink, the restaurant at Folkestone Races, The Lookout Restaurant is said to be Folkestone's premier restaurant. It is situated in a prime position in the main grandstand and opens at every Folkestone Races meeting. Upon arrival, your table will be allocated to you and will be yours for the entire meeting - offering excellent views of the track as you enjoy your meal. There are also numerous licensed bars and other eateries all over the racecourse, all of them providing big screens and televisions to ensure none of the racing action is missed, such as the Brassier with tea, coffee and soft drinks also available. Children under the age of 16 are admitted free, with a maximum of two children per paying adult.
