The Racecourse

Ripon Racecourse, also known as the Garden Racecourse, has hosted some of the most intense and exciting racing over its 300 year history. This season alone, Ripon Races is home to 14 regular meetings along with many special events showcasing some of the world's best runners and riders, with just under £1M prize money at stake. Ripon races is an excellent spectator location housing a huge screen opposite the main stand, allowing you to follow the action all the way around the course from the comfort of your own seat. If you are in town for more than just the races you will find numerous interesting attractions surrounding one of the country's oldest and most beautiful cities. Ripon Cathedral, Fountains Abbey, Newby Hall and Gardens and the Lightwater Valley Theme Park are all within reach providing entertainment for everyone. Racedays

You can enjoy plenty of race days at Ripon races throughout the year. Racing often starts around early April and continues right through until late September offering over 30 race events. All racedays tend to be busy so it may be best to pre-book before you travel. Booking facilities are available online for all standard and special events at Ripon races.

The Costs

There are a number of admission options available to you at Ripon Races as individuals, small groups and corporate events are all fully catered for.

Standard Admissions - A standard ticket providing access to the general race-days costs a flat rate fee of £18 throughout the season. This increases to £21 for featured meetings. This standard ticket includes your race card, access to all of the public areas and covered seating within the main grandstand.

Paddock Enclosure - Access to the parade ring is an excellent way to get up close to your horse or jockey of interest. Paddock access at Ripon Racecourse costs £12 throughout the racing calendar rising to £14 for feature racedays.

Corporate Events - A huge number of corporate event packages are available at Ripon Racecourse with private boxes starting at £385. There are of course additional charges applied depending on the type of service that you require. Full details are available from the Ripon races website. Annual Tickets

 If you live in the surrounding area, or anywhere within easy reach of Ripon races, then you may want to consider purchasing an annual ticket. This not only gives you guaranteed access to all of the raceday events but also includes some extra members perks. Reserved parking is made available alongside the racecourse entrance and annual badge holders will also have the option to exchange race day tickets for race days at 15 of the best race venues throughout the UK. The tickets effectively equate to less than half price throughout the racing calendar so if you plan on making multiple trips this year then this really is the option for you.
