William Hill Bingo is the online bingo site from betting industry giant William Hill, the British business originally founded in 1934 and which today operates an online sportsbook, casino and poker room alongside more than 2,100 William hill betting shops. With such a long history behind the company we were expecting good things from William Hill bingo, and we weren’t disappointed.

You won’t need to download any software to your PC to play William Hill Bingo, as the game is played in a browser window. If you already have a William Hill account because you’ve used one of their other sites then you can use your existing log-in details to start playing at William Hill Bingo, otherwise you will need to register your details the first time you play.

The bingo game on offer here is 90 ball bingo, and awards prizes to the first player making a line, two lines or a full house. William Hill Bingo tickets start from 5p and go up to 50p. There are plenty of guaranteed prize games and guaranteed prizes go up to £500.

In addition to the regular prizes there are two progressive jackpots that can be won. The Cash Rocket jackpot pays out whenever you get a full house in no more than 38 balls, and the Money Mountain jackpot is awarded whenever you achieve the same feat in 33 balls or less. Because the Cash Rocket jackpot is easier to win, and therefore pays out more often, it tends to be lower than the Money Mountain jackpot. At the time of writing the Cash Rocket stood at £2,500 and the Money Mountain at £35,000, so winning either one would be cause for celebration.

The bingo play screen is clear, neat and tidy, but a little on the boring side. The William Hill Bingo logo and blue colour scheme is employed, and this gives it a more corporate feel than others we have seen, though it does fit present a uniform brand image. Cards are on the right half of the screen, account information (balance, etc.) is located at the top, along with the numbers board. The left hand side of the screen is reserved for the chat interface. Numbers are called clearly, but the chap calling sounds a bit stiff and starchy, and this only reinforces the “corporate” feel referred to a moment ago. Fortunately, the options menu allows you to mute the caller if you find it makes you think you’re playing bingo in a board room.

Thankfully, the chat here injects a lot of fun into the William Hill Bingo experience. Moderators are friendly and chirpy and conversation moves along at a good clip. Chat games are played regularly, and it’s well worth participating in these because they offer cash prizes, giving you a chance of making some money even if the bingo numbers let you down. There is also a good range of very impressive slot machine games to play when the fancy takes you.

With so much experience behind them, William Hill can’t be faulted when it comes to customer service, gaming integrity and data security, and this, along with the atmosphere in the chat room, are more than enough to make us forgive the slightly corporate presentation of the game. If you want a solid, reliable online bingo site with some impressive cash prizes up for grabs then William Hill Bingo is well worth checking out.
